Browse AbsractsMeeting NewsFeb. 20th, 2004. Thank you to everyone who made the 2004 meeting in Nice a success! The abstracts of the talks have been published on the website. The content here will remain available for historical purposes. Jan. 31st, 2004. Everyone is encouraged to attend the Welcome Reception, Feb. 6th at 18:30 at the Westminster Hotel. On-site registration will be open during the reception. Jan. 21st, 2004. The program committee has updated the multidisciplinary program and published a daily calendar. Jan. 6th, 2004. Partial listings of the symposia and papers are now available. Dec. 18th, 2003. The meeting venue has been moved next door, to the Hotel Westminster and adjacent Hotel West End. The Westminster will serve as the headquarters hotel and host the plenary sessions and posters. The breakout sessions will be split between the two hotels. [venue details] Nov. 21st, 2003. Meeting OverviewThis scientific meeting comprises:
The scientific program addresses topics that are impacting on the practice of primary and secondary cancer prevention: risk avoidance, identification of susceptibility, arrest and reversal of malignant preneoplastic progression, chronic inflammation, genetic aberrations and occult lesions, and monitoring therapy response. The fourth day is devoted to advances in tumor immunity and is dedicated as a memorial to Robert A. Good, MD PhD. Meeting VenueNice is the capital of the French Riviera and doyen of Europe's seaside resorts situated on the Cote d'Azur. Hotel Westminster has been designated the headquarters for the scientific sessions. The venue is located on Promenade des Anglais facing the "Baie des Anges" and within walking distance of the narrow streets of old Nice. The simultaneous sessions will convene at the Hotel West-End Nice. The hotels are situated side by side and are beautiful examples of the prestigious "Belle Epoque" style. Arriving by air at Nice International Airport or by train at the Central Station, the trip to the hotel is a 10-15 minute taxi ride. The region around Nice boasts a wealth of treasures and a truly delightful climate. It is an hour and a half to major ski resorts and excursions to nearby Italy. |
